In The Community
Corporate philanthropy is crucial to the well-being of every community. Christ Purcell Taylor embraces this philosophy through its long standing tradition of giving back. Each year the firm continues to expand its participation in community events and causes. Some of our sponsored causes include support for:
STAR OF HOPE, helping Houston's homeless since 1907, ministers to more than 900 men, women, and children every day with food, clothing, shelter, Christian care, and structured recovery programs and touches the lives of more than 5,000 different homeless people each year through their shelters.
CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF THE ARCHDIOCESE, founded in 1943, provides a full network of social services aimed at promoting and facilitating self-sufficiency. Through volunteer programs and donations, the Charities provides help and hope for more than 100,000 people each year.
ST. DOMINIC VILLAGE is a secure community in Houston where retired lay people and priests come home to live among their peers in three levels of care - independent living, assisted living and nursing home care. St. Dominic Village provides the highest level of quality care for the physical, spiritual and emotional well-being of the residents.
INTERFAITH MINISTRIES FOR GREATER HOUSTON, Houston's oldest interfaith-based (10 communities of faith) social service organization, whose mission is to serve people in need.
In the Fall of 2008, we were honored to be the title sponsors of the Annual Charity Golf Tournaments for two charitable organizations. The TEXAS CENTER FOR THE MISSING which provides help and hope for missing children and their families, and recently expanded into the rapidly growing concern for Alzheimer's patients who wander from their caregivers. Also the YOUNG LIFE GREATER HOUSTON REGION which helps Houston's most disadvantaged neighborhoods by bringing them hope through their many programs.
We will continue to be involved in these and additional organizations on behalf of our firm and our clients.
